Zareen Torture Case: Police Arrest Main Suspect

Lahore: A complaint by actress Zareen alleging torture and threats has led to the arrest of a man in Lahore’s Defence area, as police intensify efforts to apprehend another suspect named in the case.

According to police, a case was registered at Defence C Police Station following a complaint filed by the actress, who suspected Haris and Kokub Nawaz of subjecting her to physical violence and issuing threats.

Acting on the complaint, police arrested Kokub Nawaz, identified as the main accused in the case.

Police said the arrested suspect has been handed over to the Investigation Wing, which will conduct further proceedings and investigate the allegations.

Meanwhile, authorities are attempting to arrest the second suspect, Haris. A police team has been formed, and raids are being conducted at different locations to trace him.

The case has drawn attention because it involves allegations of violence and intimidation against a public figure, highlighting concerns over the safety of women and the need for prompt action when complaints of abuse are reported.

Police said further details would emerge as the investigation progresses, while the allegations against the suspects remain subject to investigation.
