PESHAWAR:
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in various areas of Peshawar due to maintenance work related to the relocation of the main pipeline at Zakhori Flyover on GT Road. The suspension is set to affect local residents starting from October 18, 2026.

The company stated that the maintenance is necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of the gas supply system. An official spokesperson emphasized the importance of these upgrades, noting that they are part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and service reliability. Residents are advised to prepare for the interruption and to store adequate gas supplies for cooking and heating.

This temporary suspension is expected to impact daily life for many residents, particularly during the winter months when gas demand typically peaks. Local businesses may also experience disruptions, prompting concerns about economic implications in the area.

SNGPL has committed to completing the maintenance work as swiftly as possible and will provide updates to the public regarding the resumption of gas supply. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official channels for any further announcements.
