Sindh Govt Forms JIT for Meer Raza Case

News Desk

KARACHI: The Sindh government has established a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the Meer Raza case, following directives from a judicial commission.

The notification for the JIT’s formation has been officially issued, marking a significant step in the investigation.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of West Zone, Irfan Baloch, has been appointed as the convener of the JIT.

This move comes in response to growing public and judicial pressure to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation into the case, which has raised serious concerns regarding law enforcement and judicial processes in the region.

The formation of the JIT is expected to enhance accountability and restore public trust in the investigative mechanisms of the Sindh government.

As the case unfolds, it may have broader implications for governance and the rule of law in Pakistan, particularly in how such cases are handled in the future.

Moving forward, the JIT is expected to commence its investigations promptly, with initial meetings scheduled to outline the scope and methodology of their inquiry.

The public and media will be closely monitoring the developments, as the outcome could influence future policies regarding criminal investigations in the province.
