Sharjeel Slams MQM Leadership Over Intolerable Political Rhetoric

KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has strongly condemned the leadership of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), stating that their language and political rhetoric have become entirely intolerable and damaging to provincial harmony.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, the provincial minister criticized the opposition party for allegedly attempting to polarize urban areas and disrupt the ongoing developmental momentum in Sindh.
Memon asserted that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government remains fully committed to inclusive development across Karachi and the entire province, regardless of political opposition.
He accused MQM leaders of resorting to divisive narratives to regain lost political ground, warning that such rhetoric serves no public interest and only inflames ethnic tensions at a time when national unity is paramount.
The sharp exchange underscores the persistent political rivalry between the ruling PPP in Sindh and the MQM, particularly regarding governance and administrative control in urban centers like Karachi and Hyderabad.
