Samsung Bundles Entertainment with Galaxy A57, A37 Launch
News Desk
Islamabad: Samsung is blending smartphones with digital storytelling in its latest mid-range releases, the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37, by offering users built-in access to comic content rather than just hardware upgrades.
In a move that highlights the growing importance of content ecosystems, Samsung has partnered with WEBTOON to preload its app on select devices, starting with units sold in France. This means users can dive straight into thousands of digital comics and serialized stories the moment they power on their phones.
Rather than focusing solely on performance or productivity, Samsung appears to be positioning these devices as entertainment-first experiences.
Both models feature large 6.7-inch displays with 120Hz refresh rates, making them particularly suited for WEBTOON’s signature vertical-scroll comic format, a style originally developed for mobile viewing.

WEBTOON, launched by Naver Corporation, has grown into a global platform with over 160 million monthly users, offering a vast library of content across genres.
While much of the content is free, premium access to certain completed series is available through a paid coin-based system.
Although it remains uncertain whether the app will come pre-installed in other markets, it is already widely accessible through app stores, ensuring that users outside France can still tap into the same content ecosystem.
The launch signals a broader shift in how smartphone makers differentiate mid-range devices, not just through specifications, but by bundling entertainment services that enhance everyday usage.
The Galaxy A57 and A37 are scheduled to hit global markets starting April 10, with European pricing beginning at €529 and €429, respectively.
