Islamabad: Pakistan’s humiliating Test series defeat against Bangladesh has reportedly placed the captaincy of Shan Masood under serious threat, with sources suggesting that Salman Ali Agha is being considered as a possible replacement to lead the national red-ball side.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to review the leadership of the national Test team following Pakistan’s second consecutive series defeat against Bangladesh.
Sources claimed that head coach Sarfraz Ahmed is reportedly dissatisfied with Shan Masood’s leadership and expressed concerns over several decisions taken during the series. It was further reported that Shan Masood remained largely quiet during post-series discussions due to his own poor performance.
