PPP Leaders Demand Accountability for PTI’s Corrupt Rule in KP

News Desk

BAJAUR: Local leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday condemned the 13-year governance of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, labeling it as the most corrupt era in the province’s history.

They called for stringent accountability measures against former PTI ministers and lawmakers during a press conference held at the Bajaur Press Club in Khar.

PPP district general secretary Shakeel Khan Utmankhel, along with senior party figures including Haji Sher Bahadur, Shahabuddin, Mian Samiullah Jan, Haider Ali Shah, and Abdullah Advocate, expressed their support for the recent imposition of emergency and governor’s rule.

They argued that these steps are crucial for restoring law and order and enhancing governance in the province, which has been plagued by crises exacerbated by the PTI’s policies.

The leaders emphasized that while the PPP is committed to democratic principles, the previous government’s confrontational stance with the federal administration, particularly regarding counter-terrorism efforts, necessitated extraordinary measures.

They believe that the PTI’s mismanagement has left the province vulnerable and in dire need of reform.

Looking ahead, the PPP plans to intensify its calls for accountability and transparency in governance.

The party is expected to organize further discussions and rallies to mobilize public support for their agenda, aiming to hold the PTI accountable for its alleged failures and restore public trust in the political system.
