Police, NCCIA Jobs: Application Deadline Extended to Sept 14

Islamabad: Young Pakistanis have been given another chance to apply for government jobs as the deadline for recruitment to 351 posts in the Islamabad Police and National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has been extended to September 14, 2026.
The extension, announced by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, gives eligible male and female candidates additional time to complete their applications for positions ranging from police constables to technical and clerical posts.
Naqvi urged young people to take advantage of the opportunity, saying the vacancies offer a chance to enter public service and pursue careers in law enforcement and cybercrime investigation.
The available positions include Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Technical Assistant, Stenotypist, Upper Division Clerk, Constable and Constable Driver.
Online applications only
Candidates from across Pakistan can apply through the National Police Foundation’s recruitment portal, npftas.pk. Applicants must create an account using their CNIC number and provide the required personal and educational details.
The authorities have made it clear that applications submitted manually or through courier will not be accepted. Candidates do not need to submit copies of their certificates during the initial application stage.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable Rs2,000 processing and test fee for each post through One Link services or available online banking facilities. A separate application and fee will be required for every post applied for.
Physical test required for police posts
Candidates seeking positions as Sub-Inspector, ASI, Constable or Constable Driver will first have to qualify in the physical and running test.
Male candidates must complete a one-mile run in seven minutes, while female candidates are required to complete the same distance within 10 minutes.
Those who clear the physical test will then be eligible to appear in the computer-based written examination.
Warning Against False information
The recruitment authorities have warned applicants against submitting forged documents or providing false information.
Officials said candidates found involved in such practices could face legal action under the relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code, including imprisonment of up to seven years. Authorities have said a zero-tolerance policy will be followed throughout the recruitment process.
Government employees applying for the positions will also be required to present departmental permission at the interview stage.
Successful candidates should also be prepared for postings anywhere in Pakistan.
