Peshawar Motorway M-1 to Close From Sept 23

Islamabad: The Peshawar Motorway (M-1) will remain closed to all types of traffic from 11:00pm on September 23, 2026, until further notice, according to a traffic advisory.

Authorities have advised travelers from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other districts to avoid using the M-1 and postpone unnecessary journeys during the closure.

Meanwhile, the M-2 Motorway connecting Lahore and Islamabad will remain open to all types of traffic.

Travelers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow instructions issued by the traffic police to avoid inconvenience.
