PESHAWAR: In a major relief for vulnerable families, the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has abolished the cumbersome requirement for widow pensioners to submit separate applications to claim their welfare fund grants.
Under the newly streamlined policy, the financial assistance will now be directly disbursed alongside their monthly pension payments.
Previously, widows, disabled dependents, and destitute children faced administrative hurdles and repeated visits to offices just to secure their entitled welfare grants. Management confirmed that the updated protocol removes all bureaucratic red tape, ensuring that financial aid reaches the most deserving households transparently, efficiently, and without unnecessary delays.
