Khalid Butt’s Emotional TikTok Note on Health Challenges

A heartfelt voice note of veteran Pakistani actor Khalid Butt, recorded during his final days, has surfaced on social media, revealing the severity of his health condition and his emotional message for his family.
In the voice note circulating on TikTok, the celebrated actor can be heard sharing details of his struggle with multiple health complications while speaking to his grandson. He expressed gratitude and requested prayers from his loved ones.
“I don’t know how to explain my condition. I cannot even go to the washroom or speak properly. My liver has almost stopped functioning, and doctors have advised a liver transplant,” Khalid Butt said.
He added that he was preparing to visit the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) with his medical reports, where he was scheduled to undergo further evaluation for a possible liver and kidney transplant.
The actor also spoke about his deteriorating health, saying his stomach had become weak and that he was facing several medical challenges. Despite his condition, he sent love and prayers to his children and family.
Khalid Butt was in Gilgit for the shooting of a drama when his health worsened. He was sent home for eight days before returning to Gilgit to continue his work.
A respected name in Pakistan’s television, film, and theatre industry, Khalid Butt began his career in 1970 as an assistant director before making his acting debut in 1978. He went on to become one of the most recognized faces on screen.
He earned widespread acclaim for his performances in popular projects including “Boota From Toba Tek Singh,” “Dillagi,” “Jeevan Nagar,” and “Khaie.”
Khalid Butt passed away in Lahore on January 11, 2024, leaving behind decades of memorable performances and a lasting legacy in Pakistani entertainment.
