Jazz Pakistan Achieves 1.6Tbps Fiber Tech

Islamabad: Jazz, Pakistan’s top digital operator, has achieved a groundbreaking throughput of 1.6 terabits per second (Tbps) per channel in its optical fiber network test.

The test, conducted on December 13 using Huawei’s advanced Kepler platform, positions Jazz as the first operator in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region to reach this milestone, as stated in a recent news release.

This achievement strongly aligns with Jazz’s overarching goal of consistently building and strengthening cutting-edge digital platforms tailored to meet the dynamic demands of its customers.

Khalid Shehzad, Jazz’s CTO, emphasized, “This accomplishment signifies a pivotal moment for Jazz and the telecommunications sector in Pakistan. The successful testing of 1.6 Tbps per channel technology on the Huawei Kepler platform underscores our technical expertise.
