Islamabad: The upcoming Apple iPhone 16 models are poised to feature significant advancements in camera technology, along with enhancements in display size and overall design.

Reports suggest a strong emphasis on spatial video capture, with new models adopting a vertical array that could revolutionize how users interact with their surroundings in videos, according to Macrumors.

This innovation aligns with Apple’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone photography and videography.

Anticipated improvements include an enhanced 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens in the iPhone 16 Pro models, promising better image quality in low-light conditions through pixel binning, which combines data from four pixels into one “super pixel.”

The 48-megapixel Wide camera is expected to feature an eight-part hybrid lens with two glass elements and six plastic elements, bringing enhancements to telephoto and ultra-wide lenses.

Furthermore, the introduction of 5x Telephoto lenses may not be exclusive to the larger Pro Max model, potentially extending to both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.

Additionally, rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max could incorporate a super telephoto periscope camera, offering significantly increased optical zoom capabilities. While this information lacks official confirmation, a Weibo account lends some credibility to this possibility.

Describing lenses with a focal length exceeding 300mm as “super” or “ultra” telephoto, there’s anticipation for notable improvements in zoom capabilities, particularly if the current telephoto lens achieves equivalence to a 77mm lens.
