Islamabad: The US dollar started the business week with a slight depreciation, dropping by 1 paisa in the interbank exchange. 

Now, 1 paisa buys $278.20, compared to the previous rate of $278.21 at the end of the last business week.

Simultaneously, the Pakistan Stock Exchange is showing a promising trend as the Pakistan Stock Exchange 100 index surged by 834 points to reach 72,736 points.

This marks a notable increase from the closing figure of 71,902 points recorded at the end of the previous business week.
