Inter Milan Dominates Parma 3-0; Kevin De Bruyne Shines for Napoli

MILAN: Inter Milan continued their impressive start to the Serie A season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Parma at home on Saturday, while Napoli secured a similar scoreline against Frosinone, thanks to a stellar performance from Kevin De Bruyne.
Inter’s triumph was marked by first-half goals from Petar Sucic, Hakan Calhanoglu—who converted a penalty—and Marcus Thuram, establishing a firm grip on the match within the first 31 minutes.
The win propelled Inter to 16 points from six matches, solidifying their position at the top of the league table.
Head coach Cristian Chivu expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance post-international break, stating, “We’ve worked well during this period; the players have trained well. I’m happy.”
On the other hand, the defeat was a challenging debut for Parma’s new coach Alberto Gilardino, who took over from Carlos Cuesta just weeks prior.
Gilardino acknowledged the need for clarity during critical moments, saying, “Parma started well, but when you are naive, you pay the price.” This loss raises concerns about Parma’s ability to compete effectively in the league.
Looking ahead, both teams will aim to build on their performances in the upcoming fixtures, with Inter seeking to maintain their lead and Parma looking to bounce back under Gilardino’s guidance.
The Serie A season continues to unfold, promising more thrilling encounters as teams vie for supremacy.
