Islamabad: Coke Studio Season 15 made a highly anticipated return with the release of its first song, “II,” sung by Nauman Ali Rajpar, Marvi, and Saiban in Sindhi.
The lyrics, penned by Nauman Ali Rajpar and Babar Mangi, were complemented by music composed by a quartet, including Nauman Ali Rajpar, Babar Mangi, Zalfiqar Ali Jabbar (Zalfi), and Abdullah Siddiqui.
Despite being celebrated for its authentic folk Sindhi sound, “II” initially didn’t garner significant attention from fans.
However, it managed to surpass 1 million views on YouTube within a day of its release and was actively shared across various social media platforms.
This season of Coke Studio promises to showcase more vernacular songs, with expectations of featuring tracks in Punjabi, Pashto, Balochi, and Saraiki. With a total of 11 songs slated for release, fans can anticipate a diverse musical journey ahead.
