CDA Sets Up Control Room To Ensure Efficient Operations

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration has founded a control room in the authority’s headquarters and assigned duties among staff to ensure the uninterrupted provision of the best amenities to the populace during Eidul Azha.

According to the CDA officials, the relevant staff will be present from June 28 to July 2.

The DMA directorates, including water supply, Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), street lights, M&RM, roads, environment (East and West), and city sewerage division, will perform their duties in the control room established as per the details.

Citizens can also register their complaints at 925-2962 and 925-3016 at the control room set up at CDA headquarters.

Furthermore, under the direction of the CDA administration, the Sanitation Wing has also finished making preparations with a comprehensive and concrete strategy to maintain high levels of sanitation throughout the city during the Eid holidays so that the residents do not have any issues.

To give all amenities to the citizens even during the Eid holidays, the Sanitation Wing has also released its hotline numbers 9213908, 9203216, 9211555, and 1334 for the guidance of the public. It should be noted that the complaints will be promptly resolved.

Meanwhile, RWMC has requested people not to burn any waste or chemicals outside since they are some of major causes of smog; it also emphasized that burning garbage is illegal because it emits smoke which leads to –among others- diseases related to lungs as well as causing destruction of ozone layer due pollution hence affecting everyone’s health adversely.

He urged the residents to ensure the spraying of water to prevent dust and to use masks and glasses, adding the promotion of tree plantation was vital for avoiding smog and checking environmental pollution.
