Festive vibes permeated through bustling shopping centers like Tench Bhatta, Saddar, Lalkurti, Moti Bazar, Commercial Market, and numerous others across the town.

Shopkeepers and their aides worked tirelessly until late into the night on Saturday and Sunday, catering to the influx of customers, showcasing merchandise, and engaging in bargaining sessions.

Families thronged the markets over the weekend, meticulously selecting items for Eid celebrations.

Shop owners across malls and markets reported a surge in business over the weekend compared to other days of Ramadan. A plethora of goods, including an abundance of foreign brands, notably Chinese, adorned the shelves.

The array of offerings spanned garments for men, women, and children, boasting the latest designs, especially tailored for children.

The rush of customers typically commenced in the evening and persisted until closing time at the shops. Illuminated stalls throughout the city showcased a diverse array of colorful bangles, including dazzling ones, alongside an assortment of accessories such as necklaces, rings, anklets, and earrings.

Various brands of Mehndi claiming to produce the darkest shades were also in high demand.

Despite being in the midst of the holy month, some tailors had ceased taking orders, prompting customers to resort to purchasing ready-made attire. Altaf, a tailor, revealed that he and his team were working round the clock, seven days a week, to fulfill all pending orders before the conclusion of Ramadan.

Ashraf, a student, shared that his family embarked on their Eid shopping spree at the last minute, as the festive fervor peaked towards the end of Ramadan. He noted that escalating prices did little to deter people from indulging in Eid shopping.

In the realm of security, the police asserted having implemented foolproof arrangements to safeguard people at various shopping centers, markets, and public spaces.

Female police personnel were stationed at busy shopping malls in Saddar Bazaar, Raja Bazaar, Moti Bazaar, Commercial Market, Lalkurti, and other bustling areas to ensure the safety of women.

Under the police security plan, law enforcement officers in plain clothes were deployed in sensitive zones, while closed-circuit cameras monitored activities in crowded bazaars, parks, and other public venues.

The City Traffic Police finalized a traffic management plan to mitigate congestion and other issues on roads stemming from the influx of people in markets and bazaars.
