Balochistan Launches First Mass Transit Train Service

QUETTA: The government of Balochistan officially inaugurated the Jinnah People’s Train Service on September 29, 2026, marking the launch of the province’s first mass transit train service.
This initiative aims to provide the residents of Quetta and surrounding areas with a safe, comfortable, reliable, and affordable mode of transportation.
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi and Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti attended the inauguration ceremony, emphasizing the significance of this service in enhancing public transport infrastructure.
