Bajaur: The polling process for the by-elections for the National Assembly seat NA-8 and Provincial Assembly seat PK-22 commenced on Sunday.

Voters began arriving at their designated polling stations at 8:00 a.m. and are actively casting their votes. The voting will continue until 5:00 pm.

A closely contested race is anticipated between PTI-backed candidates Gul Zafar Khan for NA-8 and Mubarak Zeb Khan for PK-22, who will face off against candidates from opposition parties.

The February 8 election in the constituency was postponed following the tragic passing of PTI-backed candidate Rehan Zeb.

A total of 366 polling stations have been set up for NA-8 in Bajaur, including 88 highly sensitive and 151 sensitive stations, catering to 672,591 registered voters.

Likewise, 91 polling stations have been established for PK-22, including 88 combined polling stations for both male and female voters.

Supporters of the candidates have erected polling booths outside the polling stations to provide guidance to young voters.
