Blinken Meets Qatari Emir in Gaza Mediation Push

Doha: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on Thursday in Doha, as part of efforts to mediate in the Gaza conflict.

Following talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Blinken visited Qatar, a key mediator in the conflict, to discuss a possible ceasefire after Israel’s killing of Hamas leader.

According to the US State Department, Blinken and Sheikh Tamim discussed efforts to secure the release of hostages and bring an end to the Gaza war.
