Nida & Yasir Reveal How They Managed Their Dowry

Karachi: Dowry has always remained an important part of wedding tradition in the eastern culture, especially in Pakistan and India.

The reason is that hundreds of thousands of girls could not get married as their parents were unable to manage dowry for them following poverty and other social factors.

However, good examples are there in society, who set an example for others, and Nida Yasir and her husband Yasir Nawaz are among them.

The famous morning show host is married to actor and writer Yasir Nawaz. The couple is living a happy life with their children as well as excelling in their showbiz life.

Nida recently made an impactful statement regarding her in Laws’ stance against dowry.

In a recent interview with a local magazine, the Good Morning Pakistan host said, “My family is against dowry and do not believe in providing it to their daughters.”

She said, “I used my own money to buy furniture while Yasir used his to pay for other appliances and that is how we made our first home.”

Nida further said. “My in-laws were very supportive of this idea and were never greedy or toxic.”

Nida started her career as an actress and worked with Yasir where they first fell in love after which they tied the knot and are now the most talked-about couple.

The growing trend of dowry in our society is a great challenge for millions who can’t afford a dowry for their daughters. Nida shed light on the emerging negative trend of dowry in our society. There exist many who have taken marriage as a way of fulfilling their materialistic and physical needs.

These ill-thinking people have changed the very notion of marriage thus by showing the perception of such a lady. It was urged to the parents that they should not blindly tie their daughters in the name of marriage to such people but instead keeping their daughters at home as bachelors is better than letting them ruin their lives at the hands of such greedy people.
