Islamabad: After reigning supreme in the drama industry for several years, the versatile actor Yumna Zaidi is poised to make her mark on the big screen with her debut film ‘Nayab’.

The trailer for ‘Nayab’ has been released, with the movie set to hit theaters on January 26, 2024.

In this film, Yumna takes on the role of a female cricketer, and ‘Nayab’ unfolds the narrative of her journey through life’s trials and triumphs to achieve her aspirations.

Her character is that of a cricket enthusiast from Karachi, facing societal pressures and a lack of opportunities. Yumna’s portrayal is that of a bold and passionate individual who is unrestrained by societal norms.

Directed by Umair Nasir Ali, the film features a star-studded cast including Yumna Zaidi, Fawad Khan, Javed Sheikh, Usama Khan, Huma Nawab, Ehteshamuddin, Adnan Siddiqui, and a special dance number by Faryal Mehmood.

The script is crafted by the acclaimed duo Ali Abbas Naqvi and Basit Naqvi, renowned for their work on the film ‘Laal Kabootar’.
