Young Doctors Demonstrate Over Unpaid Salar In Peshawar

Peshawar: Young Doctors Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa office-bearers, including trainee doctors, organised a protest against the non-payment of medical officers’ salaries.

Young Doctors Association Spokesperson Dr. Faisal said, “Boycott of elective services continues across the province. Salaries have not been paid on schedule for the last three months, and even this month, no wage information has been provided.”

The province has more than 6,000 TMOs, according to the spokesman, adding that due to recent inflation, trainee doctors are facing serious difficulties because they have stopped receiving pay.
