World Bank Delegation Explores Peshawar’s Cultural Heritage

Peshawar: Exploring the abundant cultural legacy of Peshawar, Martin Raiser, the Vice President for South Asia at the World Bank, along with Najy Benhassine, the Country Head, led a delegation to delve into the city’s 2500-year-old cultural heritage.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, it was stated that the World Bank is dedicated to playing a central role in safeguarding the cultural heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) through diverse initiatives and projects.

These efforts aim to support the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums KP in conserving KP’s heritage and showcasing its cultural significance on a global scale.

Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur, Member of the National Assembly, Dr Kazim Niaz, Federal Secretary for Economic Affairs Division Islamabad, the Chief Secretary of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and the Additional Chief Secretary were also present as hosts.
