Woman’s Killer Arrested in Sector G-12 Murder Case

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, in coordination with the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU), have arrested the prime suspect in the brutal murder of a woman in Sector G-12, following swift and professional investigative action.

According to a police spokesperson, Sumbal Police Station received information regarding the recovery of a woman’s body from Sector G-12. Preliminary findings revealed that the victim had been subjected to severe torture prior to her death. A case was promptly registered under FIR No. 79/26, and an immediate investigation was launched.

Teams from Sumbal Police and the HIU conducted an intensive probe using modern scientific and technical methods. Through analysis of Safe City surveillance cameras and other technical resources, police identified and arrested the accused, Muhammad Aslam.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to assaulting and torturing the woman, which led to her death.

The spokesperson said the accused has been formally booked, and further investigation is under way to fulfill all legal requirements. The suspect will be produced before the court, and a challan based on solid evidence will be submitted to ensure exemplary punishment.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, stated that Islamabad Police are taking indiscriminate action against violent crimes, including murder. He emphasized that no individual involved in such heinous offences would be spared and that the law would take its course.

He further reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police, adding that all available resources are being utilized to maintain peace and security in the federal capital.
