Will the UN’s Today Voting End Gaza’s Strife?

Islamabad: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will vote today (Monday) on a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
According to reports from Arab media outlets, the resolution for an immediate ceasefire has been presented by 10 elected members of the Security Council.
As per details, at least 18 Palestinians were killed in the bombing of a house in Deir al-Balah, while over 27 Palestinians, including women and children, lost their lives in the Israeli bombing of five houses in Rafah.
Tragically, within the past 24 hours, numerous Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
Additionally, there have been reports of casualties among Palestinians due to Israeli airstrikes in the vicinity of al-Shifa hospital.
Gaza Faces Shortages
According to reports from Arab media outlets, Israel has halted the entry of food containers into northern Gaza, exacerbating severe food shortages in the region.
Allegedly, up to 70 percent of residents in northern Gaza are facing critical food shortages.
There have been demonstrations in various Arab countries in solidarity with the Palestinians.
In Oman, for instance, a protest took place outside the Israeli embassy where several women were detained.
The demonstration saw participants expressing support for Palestinians and denouncing Israel. Protesters, wielding Palestinian flags, voiced anti-Israeli sentiments.
The protest escalated as demonstrators attempted to march towards the Israeli embassy, resulting in clashes with law enforcement. Police responded by deploying tear gas to disperse the protesters.
Jordanian police prevented women from reaching the Israeli embassy, and according to Arab media reports, they detained several of them.
Meanwhile, in Tehran, the capital of Iran, a rally in support of Palestine has been organized.
