To utilize this new feature, users can follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp on their mobile device.
- Tap the three dots (Menu) in the upper right corner.
- Navigate to “Settings.”
- Select “Storage and Data.”
Click on “Manage Storage.”
In addition to this memory management tool, Meta has announced plans to support third-party video and voice calls by 2027.
The company assures users that privacy and security will remain a top priority even as these features are introduced. Users will receive notifications to adjust their app settings once the feature is implemented.
Furthermore, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that allows users to access status updates directly from the viewer list.
With this update, a green ring will appear around a contact’s profile picture in the viewer list if that contact has also posted a status update. These enhancements aim to improve user experience and connectivity on the platform.
