Violation Of Dengue SOPs: 8 Face Legal Action

Rawalpindi: The District Health Authority (DHA)has registered eight FIRs (First Information Report), issued tickets to 11, sealed one premise, and imposed a fine of Rs 16,000 against the violations of dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours.
With the arrival of 21 more cases during the last 24 hours, the district’s total tally has reached 2,322 confirmed cases, revealed District Coordinator of Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC) Dr Sajjad Mehmood.
Dr Sajjad stated on Tuesday that, among the new cases, nine patients have arrived from the Potohar town urban area, six from the Municipal Corporation area, four from Rawalpindi Cantonment, and one from Chaklala Cantonment.
Health Officer further said that 51 patients are admitted to the city’s allied hospitals, out of which 40 are confirmed cases and 2,281 were discharged after treatment.
Fogging and surveillance have been extended in those areas where dengue patients are reported regularly, told Dr Mehmood.
He urged the residents to be careful during the day and in the evening as that is a suitable time for mosquito bites.
