User Frustration Mounts as X Continues to Face Glitches

News Desk

Islamabad: For the past three days, users across various cities in Pakistan have been encountering disruptions in accessing the services of social media platform X (formally Twitter).

The outage, which began on February 17 at 10 pm, has persisted, causing difficulties for users to view tweets and new posts. Users are also unable to tweet or upload videos on the platform.

Despite the inconvenience faced by millions of users, no official statement has been released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) regarding the ongoing service disruption.

The lack of communication from the regulatory authority has left users without clarity on the situation.

As of now, even after several hours since the service interruption began, the platform remains partially restored, aggravating the challenges faced by users. Social media outage and monitoring service Down Detector reported at least 185 complaints of X outage at 9 pm on Saturday night, a number that increased to 239 by 9:24 pm.

The reasons behind the prolonged outage and the steps being taken to resolve the issue are yet to be disclosed by the concerned authorities. Users are advised to stay tuned for official updates and follow alternative communication channels in the meantime.
