Two Killed, Two Injured In Gambat Firing Incident

Islamabad: Two people were killed and two others injured on Monday when two groups exchanged fire in the Gambat area of Khairpur.

According to a private news channel and police sources, the incident was reportedly due to an old enmity.

According to police, the dead and injured were shifted to Gambat Hospital.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

The main suspect in the high-profile Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case, Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Teefi Butt, has been arrested from Dubai, Punjab police sources confirmed on Saturday.

The arrest was made through a coordinated operation carried out by the Punjab Police with the assistance of Interpol. Legal proceedings are now underway to extradite the accused to Pakistan, with officials expecting his transfer to Lahore within the next few days.

According to police, Teefi Butt had been declared the prime suspect and mastermind in the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu, a well-known figure in Lahore. Following the incident, he fled the country and went into hiding in the United Arab Emirates.

The Punjab Police had subsequently obtained a red warrant for his arrest through Interpol, leading to his eventual capture.
