Two Held for Illegal Bird Catching

Sargodha: The Wildlife Department has arrested two individuals for illegal bird catching in Kot Momin Tehsil.
On Sunday, Deputy Director Arooj Zaheer informed APP that a team, including In-charge District Raid Squad Syed Sajid Abbas, Wildlife Inspectors Ali Raza and Ansar Riaz, conducted a raid in Ghous Wala village.
They recovered 500 birds of various species and a net from the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been fined Rs 30,000, and legal proceedings are underway. Deputy Director Zaheer emphasized the department’s commitment to protecting wildlife and enforcing environmental laws.
