Two Dead, Eight Injured in Separate Incidents in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: At least two people lost their lives and eight others, including women and children, sustained injuries in two separate incidents of a gas cylinder explosion and electrocution in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122, a fire broke out early morning at a house on Range Road following a gas cylinder blast. Seven people—including women and children—suffered burn injuries and were shifted to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) for treatment.

Haya, 4

Fatima, 6

Shiraz, 40

Adnan, 4

Aira, 6

In a separate incident near High Court Chowk on Bostan Khan Road, a lawyer named Ansar and a laborer were electrocuted while installing a signboard for a law office. The metal sign accidentally came into contact with high-voltage power lines, killing both men on the spot. A third person, a young man, was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police from the relevant stations reached both scenes, collected evidence, and launched legal proceedings into the incidents.
