Moscow: A powerful wave of tropical heat is spreading across Russia’s Siberian and Far Eastern regions, with temperatures soaring well above normal, according to Roman Vilfand, Research Director at the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
Vilfand said southeastern parts of Siberia will see temperatures rise by 8 to 9 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average, reaching up to 38°C in the coming days.
The heatwave, which was centered over Western Siberia five days ago, has now moved eastward, bringing unusually high temperatures to more parts of the country.
