Traffic diversions announced on key roads of Islamabad

Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory on Thursday for motorists due to planned traffic diversions on major roads of the federal capital.

An ITP official told APP that traffic diversions will remain in place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on the following roads: Srinagar Highway (Zero Point area), Garden Avenue / Islamabad Expressway.

The official said that to avoid inconvenience, citizens are advised to use the following alternative routes:

Jinnah Avenue, Ninth Avenue, Seventh Avenue Club Road, Inner-city service roads.

He advised commuters to start their journeys 20 to 25 minutes earlier to avoid delays during the diversion period.

The official added that Islamabad Traffic Police officers will remain deployed on all major routes to facilitate citizens and ensure smooth traffic flow.
