TLP Leader Saad Rizvi Ends Gaza March
News Desk
Islamabad: Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi has reportedly announced the end of the Gaza March, according to credible sources, though an official statement from the party is still awaited.
Earlier in the day, Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar urged citizens not to believe rumours circulating on social media about unrest in Karachi, assuring that the situation in the city remained completely under control.
In a statement issued on Monday, the minister warned that strict legal action would be taken against those spreading false information or provocative content aimed at creating panic. He said anyone attempting to challenge the writ of the state would face consequences under Section 144.
Lanjar directed the police to stay alert and maintain heightened security across the metropolis, ensuring deployment at all key points. He instructed the Karachi police chief to keep anti-riot units on standby and to further strengthen operational measures in sensitive areas and flashpoints.
He also directed the traffic police to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles across the city through close coordination with law enforcement agencies.
His remarks followed a wave of unverified reports on social media suggesting protest sit-ins by the TLP in Karachi—claims that emerged just hours after calm returned to Punjab following days of unrest.

Karachi police, in a separate statement, clarified that no demonstrations or sit-ins were taking place anywhere in the city. Officials said that in some areas, shopkeepers had voluntarily closed their businesses due to misinformation, but overall, peace and normalcy prevailed across the metropolis with a strong security presence in place.
It is a developing story.
The TLP leader should arrested and tried for public disorder offences. These people should be prevented from bringing chaos to the lives of millions.
