Thunderstorm, Rain Predicted in KP

Peshawar: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met Office) has forecast thunderstorms and rain with gusty winds across most regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next 24 to 48 hours, leading to a drop in temperatures, particularly in the upper areas.
Rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in districts including Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Bajaur, Kohistan, Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, North Waziristan, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, South Waziristan, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan.
The highest recorded rainfall over the last 24 hours was in Saidu Sharif (49 mm), followed by Balakot (20 mm), Timergara (43 mm), and other locations. Additionally, snowfall has been reported in Naran, Kaghan, and Babusar Top, leading to road closures to the tourist destination due to heavy snowfall.
The weather in most parts of the province was predominantly partly cloudy over the last 24 hours, although thunderstorms and rain occurred sporadically in Chitral, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Bajaur, Khyber, and Buner districts.
