Three minor boys injured in hand grenade explosion

KP/Punjab/Sindh: At least three minor boys were injured after a hand grenade exploded in the suburban area of Sarband on Monday.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred in Dawlatzai Sarband when the boys found a hand grenade while collecting scrap material. The explosion took place when they tampered with the explosive device.

The injured, identified as Rehmanullah, son of Jan Agha (16), Kamran, son of Ajmal (15), and Mirwais, son of Rasool Khan (14), are reportedly Afghan nationals. They were collecting scrap while moving around the area in a Qingqi rickshaw.

Rescue teams shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Following the incident, police cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to determine how the explosive device ended up among scrap material.

One killed, eight injured in IED blast targeting bus in Lakki Marwat

One person was killed and eight others injured when militants detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) targeting a bus carrying workers of the Lucky Cement factory near Begu Khel Road on Monday morning.

Police sources said unknown militants exploded the IED near the bus around 6:30am and also opened fire on the vehicle. As a result, one worker died on the spot while eight others sustained injuries.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable.

Security forces rushed to the site, cordoned off the area, tightened security measures, and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers. An investigation into the incident is underway.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. The incident occurred a day after four policemen were martyred in separate firing incidents in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts.

Child killed in tanker accident in Karachi

A child was killed in a tragic road accident in the Mangho Pir area of Karachi on Monday.

According to Rescue sources, a rashly driven water tanker hit the child while he was playing outside his house, killing him on the spot.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Two killed in road accident in Muzaffargarh

Two persons, including a teenage boy, were killed in a road accident when a speeding truck rammed into a motorcycle near the Jalo Sahoo area of Tehsil Jatoi on Monday.

Rescue 1122 sources said the accident occurred due to over-speeding. The deceased were identified as 15-year-old Muhammad Ali, son of Abdul Malik, and 50-year-old Ashiq Hussain, son of Ghulam Rasool.

Rescue teams reached the spot, covered the bodies with sheets, and shifted them to THQ Hospital Jatoi for legal formalities. The deceased belonged to Basti Abdul Wala, Tehsil Jatoi.

Police have initiated legal proceedings.

Two killed, one injured in traffic accident in Chiniot

Two people were killed and a woman seriously injured when a speeding bus collided with two motorcycles near Mai Ka Dera on Kandiwal Road on Monday.

According to APP correspondent, the bus struck the motorcycles simultaneously, resulting in the deaths of 63-year-old Muhammad Nawaz and 50-year-old Zafar. A woman sustained critical injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

Police are investigating the incident.
