Three Doctors Terminated for Negligence at Sahiwal Hospital

Sahiwal: At least three doctors at Sahiwal Teaching Hospital were terminated on Thursday for alleged negligence while on duty in the Surgical Emergency Ward, as reported by a private news channel.
The incident occurred when an accident victim, brought to the emergency ward, waited over three hours without receiving necessary medical attention.
The doctors on duty advised the patient to first obtain a CT scan, followed by ultrasound and X-ray reports, before treatment could proceed.
Upon visiting the CT scan department, the patient was reportedly asked to pay a fee before the examination could be conducted. His condition deteriorated while arranging the payment, ultimately resulting in his death.
The victim’s family has called upon the Chief Minister of Punjab to take immediate action against the doctors involved, demanding justice and accountability for what they described as “a heinous act of negligence.”
