Marine life experts suggest that plastic pollution, unsustainable fishing practices, and the use of banned fishing nets could be possible reasons for the turtles’ deaths.

In the past, the coastal areas of Pasni were considered safe havens for turtles, but now turtle shells are increasingly being found in the same areas.
