Islamabad: A man died as his car plunged into the Sutlej River due to dense smog near the Pakpattan district of Punjab.

The tragic incident occurred early Monday as a car plunged into the Sutlej River, resulting in the immediate fatality of the driver.

As per rescue sources, the accident occurred along the Sutlej River when the driver, navigating through thick smog, lost control of the vehicle on a sharp bend, leading to the fatal outcome, as reported by a private news channel.

Promptly, police and rescue teams arrived at the scene, recovered the deceased, and transferred the body to a nearby hospital. Rescue efforts involved the use of heavy machinery to extract the submerged car from the river.
