Terrorist Strike Claims Four Lives, Including Three Cops in Kohat

Islamabad: In a tragic incident on Wednesday morning in Kohat, at least four individuals, including three police officials, fell victim to a terrorist attack, as reported by PTV and Jang, citing information from police sources.

The targeted location was the Lachi Toll Plaza and Check Post situated on the Indus Highway in Kohat.

According to the details provided by police sources, terrorists attacked on the police officials during the night, utilizing heavy weaponry. The attackers were hiding in the nearby mountains.

The martyred officials have been identified as Amjad, Junaid, and Waqar. Additionally, a civilian named Noor Muhammad, hailing from Lakki Marwat, lost his life in the same attack.

The police have shifted the bodies of the deceased to a hospital for further medico legal formalities. The security agencies have cordoned off the area and initiated a thorough search operation to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this heinous act.

The incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by security forces in the region in combating terrorism.
