Sub-Inspector Held for Alleged Abduction, Manhandling of Two Children

Islamabad: Islamabad police have arrested Sub-Inspector Suhaib Pasha following allegations of abducting and manhandling two children, according to a statement from the authorities.
The arrest followed a high-level internal inquiry overseen by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Ali Raza.
The incident came to light after a complaint circulated on social media, prompting swift action from the police.
Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, took immediate notice of the allegations, ordering an official inquiry led by DIG Syed Ali Raza.
Following the investigation, a formal case was registered against Sub-Inspector Pasha at the Karachi Company Police Station in Islamabad.
According to police sources, the complaint, lodged on Tuesday, accused Pasha of abducting two children and holding them in illegal custody, where they were allegedly manhandled. The Islamabad police responded swiftly as part of their ongoing accountability drive, reiterating their commitment to holding officers accountable for misconduct.
The police department emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward any misuse of power by its officers, with officials stressing that no one, regardless of their rank or position, is above the law.
Under IG Rizvi’s leadership, the department has vowed to maintain strict accountability and transparency within its ranks, sources said.
