Special Cleanup Drive Launched in Lahore for Ramazan

Lahore: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has intensified cleanliness efforts across the city to maintain a hygienic environment during the holy month of Ramazan.

According to LWMC sources, a comprehensive cleaning operation is underway, focusing on mosques, commercial areas, and ‘Iftar Dastarkhwan’ sites. Over 100 LWMC workers have been deployed in morning and evening shifts at 16 Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars and low-price sugar centers to ensure proper sanitation.

In addition, dedicated cleaning staff have been assigned to wash and maintain mosques in all nine towns of the city, including Ravi Town, Shalimar Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, Gulberg Town, DGBT, Samanabad Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Nishtar Town, and Wagah Town.

Special teams have also been stationed to ensure cleanliness at ‘Namaz-e-Taraweh’ locations, with additional measures such as street cleaning and water sprinkling.

LWMC has instructed its officials to check solid waste complaints every 30 minutes and resolve issues at Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars within 10 minutes to ensure a seamless experience for citizens.
