SP Among Two Police Officers Killed in Terrorist Attack

Peshawar: At least two police officers, including Superintendent of Police (SP), were killed and four others, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), injured in a terrorist attack in an attack in Mardan area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the details, alleged terrorists opened fire on police in Mardan’s Zada Mata area, resulting in the death of SP Ijaz Khan.
Three other officials, including the DSP, were wounded and promptly shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Funeral prayers for SP Ijaz Khan were conducted at Police Line Mardan, after which his body was taken to his hometown of Charsadda for burial.
Several police officers, including Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan Sulaiman Khan and District Police Officer (DPO) Najibur Rahman, attended the funeral to pay their respects.
In another incident near the Phandu police station in Peshawar, officers attempted to stop suspicious motorcyclists.
One officer from the Ababil Force was killed, and another was injured in the ensuing gunfire. Both officers were stationed at Gulbahar police station, and the injured officer received immediate medical attention at the hospital.
