Lahore: Smog in Punjab has severely disrupted flight operations, leading to the cancellation of five flights, the diversion of four, and delays in 55 others, according to airport authorities.

Sialkot airport was particularly affected, with three international flights unable to land and redirected to other airports.

A flight from Sharjah to Sialkot was diverted to Islamabad, while its return journey was canceled. Similarly, a flight from Muscat to Sialkot was rerouted to Lahore, and a flight from Jeddah, delayed by 12 hours, landed in Islamabad instead of Lahore.

Delays were also reported for flights between Lahore and Karachi, as well as international flights from Dubai, Istanbul, Jeddah, and Medina. Islamabad airport experienced delays for flights to and from Dubai, Dammam, Sharjah, Qassim, and other destinations.

Passengers traveling to and from airports in Lahore, Islamabad, and Sialkot have been advised to check schedules and plan accordingly due to ongoing disruptions caused by poor visibility.
