Slow Internet Leaves WhatsApp Users Frustrated in Pakistan
News Desk
Islamabad: Mobile internet users in Islamabad and several other major cities experienced widespread disruptions on Thursday, with slow connectivity affecting essential online services.
Residents reported that the issue particularly hit WhatsApp, where audio and video calls frequently dropped, and file sharing faced significant delays.
The slowdown also hampered regular browsing and other communication apps, frustrating users who rely on these services for work and personal use.
Despite mounting complaints, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has yet to issue an official statement, leaving citizens uncertain about the cause of the disruption and when normal services will resume.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) denied any network fault, with a spokesperson confirming that its local infrastructure and submarine cables were operating smoothly.
