Six Teenage Boys Drown as Boat Capsizes in Shairgarh Canal

Sargodha: Tragedy struck near Hafiz Wali Pul, Shairgarh Canal, close to River Jehlum, as a boat capsized on Wednesday, claiming the lives of six teenage boys.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the incident occurred when the boat, carrying ten individuals, encountered a technical issue and overturned.
The victims identified as Aziz Ullah (16), Sami Ullah (14), Aftab (14), Waqas (14), Asad Ali (18), and Shoaib (18), all residents of Peelo Wince area, drowned in the accident.
Fortunately, Abdul Wahab (18), Saad Farooq (20), Safiullah (14), and Babar Ali (13) were rescued by divers from Rescue 1122 and promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Efforts are currently underway by rescue teams to recover the bodies of the victims. Noorpur Thal police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the tragedy.
