Six Killed, Five Injured as House Roof Collapses in Charsadda

Peshawar: At least six people, including women and children, were killed and five others injured when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed on Sunday in Charsadda district.
According to police, the incident occurred in Khairabad Matta area of tehsil Shabqadar, where the weakened structure of a house gave way, trapping residents under the debris.
Rescue officials said six people died on the spot, while five others sustained injuries. Additional teams from Rescue 1122 Shabqadar, along with units from Charsadda Stations 11 and 22, were immediately dispatched to the site.
Rescue 1122 personnel carried out search and rescue operations with extreme caution, removing rubble and pulling out the trapped victims. The injured were provided first aid on the spot before being shifted to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Those who lost their lives included a three-year-old daughter of Shiraz Khan, a 12-year-old daughter of Rais, the 25-year-old wife of Amroz, and three daughters of Amroz.
The injured included the 45-year-old wife of Hakim, a 17-year-old daughter of Fazal Daud, a six-year-old daughter of Adnan, another 17-year-old daughter of Fazal Daud, and the 30-year-old wife of Shiraz.
Police said further investigations were underway to determine the exact cause of the collapse.
