Sikh Pilgrims Arrive in Pakistan for Guru Nanak’s 555th Anniversary

Sheikhupura: Over 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India arrived in Pakistan on Saturday to mark the 555th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.
The pilgrims were warmly received at Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Farooqabad in Sheikhupura with flower bouquets and showers of petals by Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Mian Nazir Ahmed and Assistant Commissioner Bilawal Ali.
Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Marth ensured that arrangements for accommodation, food, transportation, and medical services were in place for the visiting pilgrims.
Expressing gratitude, the pilgrims lauded Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the district administration for their hospitality. “Pakistan is a peaceful country, and we appreciate the warm welcome and wonderful arrangements,” said one pilgrim.
